Company Profile
UrbanIS is a professional Construction and Project Management organisation,
with a unique emphasis on the accessibility of buildings and public spaces.
Our portfolio of services are deployed within a wide range of private and
public sectors. We operate within the construction and property / asset
management sectors and our core skills, in-house systems and innovative
ideas are readily transferable between our various client sectors.
UrbanIS Limited is a subsidiary company and wholly owned by the directors of Accessable Advice a niche firm of Chartered Quantity Surveyors strategically based on the City Fringe within the Shoreditch NDC area of the London Borough of Hackney. Our nearest transport interchange is the existing Old Street Station and (in due course) the new Hoxton Station on the proposed East London Line.
Our client commitments are undertaken by a highly motivated network of
industry professionals who understand the way in which business and operational
property needs can be translated into an effective integrated and planned
management system with appropriate contingent measures.
As an organisation, our mission is to capitalise on previous achievements,
deploy the use of current innovations and so deliver cost effective, inclusive
solutions to urban, inner-city areas.
Our Approach, Our Vision
Delivering Basic Human Rights: We maintain non-discriminatory policies and practices and vigorously uphold the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 / 2005, with a particular emphasis on Parts 2 and 3. We are also aware of the existing provisions of The Race Relations Act 1976 (Amendment) Regulations 2003 and those obligations as applicable under the Public Sector Duty, due for implementation in two separate phases.
Protecting The Built Environment
Our pivotal aim is to protect and preserve the environment and correct any ecological imbalance(s) through the deployment of best practice and continuous performance improvement. This is an intrinsic quality maintained by our people, agents and business associates.
Innovative Community Integration

Through a unique partnering approach we are able to maintain our ongoing
commitment to the communities in which we work. Such an approach is actively
biased towards a positive contribution to the well being, economic progression
and therefore development of all local residents regardless of gender and/or
ability. We positively engage with the disadvantaged and under represented
/ hard to reach groups both as facilitator’s and (where relevant) end-users
of the completed project.
