On 9th October 2017, Founder and Executive Director, Bola Abisogun FRICS, received written confirmation from Dr Nike Folayan, Chair of the Association For Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers [hereon referred to as AFBE] that he had been nominated for the award of Outstanding Mentor.

The AFBE nomination was offered together with an invitation to join the wider AFBE membership on the 2 November 2017, at Savoy Place in Central London, to celebrate their tenth (10th) anniversary since their inception back in 2007.

Bola Abisogun FRICS went onto explain; “being nominated for such a prestigious award is such a humbling experience and I truly believe that such recognition is over the top for me! I do not profess to have mastered the art of pro-bono / corporate giving, but what I do understand is that I have always felt compelled to help others, particularly the next generation! Having found my purpose relatively early on in my career, I have always felt comfortable engaging in any area of personal development / life long learning. They say that if you love what you do you will never work again; well, helping others to find their purpose and realise their true potential remains my life’s work!”
